The Quebec Association for the Development of Research and Innovation (ADRIQ) is launching a “movement” on Thursday to better structure and regulate the provision of consulting services to Quebec businesses. The goal is to share best practices to guarantee excellence in an industry where there is a “free-for-all” approach.

“It needs to be structured, not a free-for-all. There is a community that has come together to ensure that quality, competence and ethics are truly important,” Frédéric Alberro, CEO of ADRIQ, told Les Affaires on the sidelines of the announcement of the pre-launch of this movement, the outlines of which have been made public.

The organization will disclose the details in the coming months, including the establishment of a certification process to obtain a seal of quality.

“The idea is to create a common space for all experts in digital support, with technologies that are evolving at a rapid pace,” he adds.

ADRIQ is launching this initiative — which does not yet have an official name — with the support of the Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy (MEIE).

Frédéric Alberro insists that this is not a new program to support companies in their digital transformation, nor is it a place where organizations and consultants can promote their services.
