Individual Awards
This award is given to a high-level individual who has directly contributed to the development, growth, achievements, and performance of a Quebec company or institution, public or private. The individual is recognized for their success and dynamism, which have had a significant ripple effect in their region, industry, or within Quebec’s research and innovation ecosystem over a meaningful period of time.
Awarded to a Quebec student who presented, as part of the Super Expo-sciences Hydro-Québec, a project that provides an original technical solution to a concrete problem and demonstrates strong commercial potential.
The winner is selected during the Super Expo-sciences Hydro-Québec and will be honored at the Innovation Awards Gala.
Special Distinctions
This distinction recognizes the impact of research on the development of innovative projects across Quebec. Among the Innovation Awards applications, some research-based projects stand out for their excellence, originality, and solid scientific foundation. Based on the selection committee’s analysis, a few projects are highlighted for their significant contribution to research-driven innovation.
The Quebec Chief Innovator’s Favorite Award recognizes companies that stand out for the excellence of their innovation culture.
Corporate Award
This award is given to a company that has recently developed and commercialized a clean technology whose innovative nature is clearly evident, giving it a distinct competitive advantage in its sector and market. This award is not intended for users of the technology but rather for the organization that created and brought it to market.
Awarded jointly to a company and one or more organizations involved in a partnership project illustrating the benefits of shared expertise. The partnership resulted in a new product/process/technology, stemming from an R&D program completed by the institution for the benefit of the company, which integrated it and successfully commercialized it. The new product/process/technology involved a profitable transfer of expertise from the institution to the company, which had an undeniable positive impact on the latter, particularly in terms of technological advancement, improved competitive positioning, increased productivity, and sales.
Awarded to an organization that has successfully designed and implemented, over the past five years, a major project or program aimed at increasing youth interest in studies and careers in science and technology, thereby ensuring a skilled workforce to support the competitiveness and growth of innovative Quebec businesses. This program has been undeniably successful with partners and young people, as clearly demonstrated by the high level of stakeholder satisfaction, the intensity of collaborations, and the increased community engagement. The program’s positive outcomes demonstrate its significant impact, particularly in terms of awareness raised, increased involvement of young people and teachers, and business participation. To be eligible, the organization must be established in Quebec and conduct a significant portion of its activities there.

This award highlights initiatives in the life sciences and health technologies (LSHT), including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, or optimization of care, that demonstrate tangible benefits in terms of efficiency, accessibility, safety, or performance of the healthcare system.
This prize is awarded to any project that aims to introduce data valorization, machine learning, operations research or any other technique related to artificial intelligence to increase the company’s competitiveness in its market.
Awarded to a company that has successfully leveraged digital technology to transform its practices, optimize its operations, and strengthen its innovation capacity. The transformation can affect processes, tools, data, or organizational culture.
As part of the Innovation Awards Gala, ADRIQ is offering a unique exhibition space. This exhibition, held before the Gala, allows entrepreneurs to demonstrate the advantages of their products and services to Gala attendees and present them to a diverse clientele. An independent jury evaluates the finalist projects based on

This award highlights the power of networks and collaborations. It is presented at each RSRI (Research and Innovation Network) event, recognizing the companies and public research institutions involved in a collaborative innovation project that has resulted in a new product, process, or technology. This project, led by the research institution, has generated benefits for the participating companies. It has also provided an opportunity to develop skills and expertise while training highly qualified personnel.
