The 2019 Innovation Awards of the Association for the Development of Research and Innovation in Quebec (ADRIQ) were presented on November 21 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, during the 29th Innovation Awards Gala. This year’s Gala was hosted by Carl Baillargeon, Director of Communications and Marketing for Technoparc Montréal.
As in previous years, the Gala was preceded by a cocktail reception where young winners from the Hydro-Québec Science Fair, university student clubs, and start-ups showcased their projects. Participants also had the opportunity to discover the 10 best inventions of the year, selected from the Invention of the Year competition in collaboration with Québec Science.
For this 29th edition, in the presence of Mrs. Chantal Renaud, the Premier’s wife, the very first Bernard-Landry Prize, renamed in honour of this great builder of Quebec’s economy, was awarded to Mr. Louis Têtu, President and CEO of Coveo.
We also had the pleasure of hosting a Tunisian delegation of IT companies who were in Montreal on a trade mission. In fact, during dessert, they offered a small Tunisian treat from Masmoudi pastry shop to the Gala attendees.
