The 2024 ADRIQ Innovation Awards were presented yesterday at the Palais des congrès in Montreal, during the 34th Innovation Awards Gala, before nearly 600 attendees. This year’s Gala was hosted by Stéphane Bellavance, a well-known television personality.

As in previous years, the Gala was preceded by a cocktail reception where young winners from the Hydro-Québec Science Fair, university student clubs, and start-ups showcased their projects. The next generation of entrepreneurs at the Gala was presented by Longueuil Agglomeration Economic Development.

The 2024 Bernard-Landry Prize was awarded to Mr. Éric Gervais, President of the Duchesnay Pharmaceutical Group. For its 34th edition, ADRIQ honoured key players in our ecosystem, with the presence of Mr. Christopher Skeete, Minister Delegate for the Economy, Ms. Pascale Déry, Minister of Higher Education, Ms. Soraya Martinez Ferrada, Minister of Tourism and Minister responsible for the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the regions of Quebec, Mr. Grégoire de Lasteyrie, President of the Paris-Saclay agglomeration, Vice-President of the Ile-de-France region in charge of transport and Mayor of Palaiseau, as well as Mr. Luc Sirois, Chief Innovator of Quebec.

We were honored to welcome, especially this year, a French delegation representing the Paris-Saclay cluster, a world-class scientific and technological innovation hub. This visit provided the opportunity for the official signing of a collaboration agreement with the Quebec Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy, and for the Paris-Saclay Agglomeration to award a “Paris-Saclay Immersion” grant to the winner of the Start-up Business Award, a gesture that further strengthens the international reach of our Gala.

Congratulations to all the winners of the 2024 Innovation Awards!
