The 2017 Innovation Awards of the Association for the Development of Research and Innovation in Quebec (ADRIQ) were presented yesterday at the Palais des congrès in Montreal, during the 27th Innovation Awards Gala. This year’s gala was hosted by Yves Desgagnés, a Quebec actor, director, and filmmaker. For this 27th edition, ADRIQ honoured Gilles Savard, Director General of the Institute for Data Valorization (IVADO), as Innovation Personality of the Year.

- 23 young winners of the Hydro-Québec Super Science Fair
- 14 university student clubs
- 55 finalists

ADRIQ wishes to highlight the exceptional quality and diversity of the applications received, which testifies to the richness and mobilization of Quebec’s research and innovation ecosystem stakeholders. We are particularly proud of this year’s Gala attendance, demonstrating the public’s interest in coming together to honour and celebrate local businesses and innovators. The finalists and winners were congratulated before 465 decision-makers from the ecosystem for their achievements and remarkable contributions to the advancement of innovation in Quebec.
